Old friends, new band. Still angry, still screaming.
They
Sleep We Live is a Collective consisting of Nico, Dirk and Jens. Founded
in August 2014 as a three-piece,the motivation of this project was
initially to write a couple of songs in the spirit of the 90’s
screamo-era and play them for joy and passion without knowing where this
is going.
Quickly we noticed that the music we created and more important the atmosphere within our group shaped our gatherings into a place of great friendship and collective fulfillment. This all happened in a time when other bands everybody was part of mostly fell apart and so set new time and space for our common project.
This band is built on friendship and based on diy ethics. Our name can be understood as a proclamation to everybody’s life and the request to make yourself aware, responsible and autonomic here and now.
We speak out for an open minded lifestyle and condemn any national- and right wing tendencies, racism, homophobia, sexism, or any other kind of oppression.
